Kabzaa 2023:Film Review
The cinematography in Kabzaa is remarkable, capturing the essence of the bygone era. Upendra's exceptional acting skills and impressive action scenes add to the film's appeal. The cameos by Kiccha Sudeepa and Shiva Rajkumar are a welcome break from the monotonous storyline.
However, the film's biggest downside is its striking similarity to the trendsetting movie, KGF. The lack of originality in the narrative, dialogues, and even the voiceover that drives the story forward, makes it a replica of KGF. The car chase sequences and the overuse of the blackout effect throughout the movie are unappealing. The emotional connect with the characters is missing, and the love track between the lead pair is tedious. The editing and clumsy presentation of scenes make it hard to sit through the second half.
Ravi Basrur's music fails to make an impact, and the Telugu dubbing is subpar. Chandru's direction and screenplay lack novelty and emotion, making the film a tiresome watch. Despite its impressive cinematography and Upendra's performance, Kabzaa is a disappointment and can be skipped.
